The Muse on the Milk Carton

I'm still searching for my muse. I even thought about putting his picture on the back of one of those milk cartons - "Have you seen this Muse? Missing since August 13, 2006. Rather intellectual, sensitive, last seen riding down I-75 in the back of a 1956 white Ford pick-up truck wearing a blue sweatshirt and baseball cap. Reward offered!"

I worry subconsciously, that the lightning that struck me last year may have blown my muse away - or at the very least - short circuited the poor thing. I have no muse. All my other Writer friends seem to have one. They seem to spew forth magical musings like new born lovers drinking from the well-spring of love. I lust for one drunken night with my muse and to be published.

Meanwhile, we're moving. The first draft of my memoirs lies silent on the front seat of my car. I write little notes to myself and tuck them away for another day while I look for my muse and a new home. I vow to start a new life. Rid myself of unnecessary worries - and write.

Until then - please - would somebody let me know if they find my damn muse!

If you too are searching for a muse, Journey from the Center offers coaching, workshops, and an ezine of simple awe.

Your muse hasn't been kidnapped, Julia! You're just trying too hard, worrying too much.

Relax, girl!

I'm sure after you're moved and your stress has decreased, inspiration will come in bucketfuls ;0)

Smiles and best wishes,
Michele

Hi Michele,

Thanks for stopping by. Word has it that my Muse was seen impersonating Elvis at the Holiday Inn. I guess we all need to cut loose every once in a while.

blessings,
julia

Thanks for visiting Julia, I'll be back to read more of your posts. Your muse is taking a break, it sounds like you've been through a lot lately...he or she will be back better than ever! Hippie chicks rock!!

Hi Writing Nag,

Thanks for stopping by.

My Muse was officially last sighted in drag applying for the Witness Protection Program somewhere in Boise, Idaho.

Yep, Hippie Chicks Rock! You had to be there! God, were the 60's great.

blessings,
julia

Don't worry Julia! As soon as you stop searching your muse will find you.

Can't we be each other's muses???
I'm pretty low maintenance...
Good at impersonations...
Not afraid of lightning - it rarely kills anyone in oz...

Hi Julia,

Just wondering how things are going???

Miss ya!
Michele
